I’m size 18 and a glam nan – I did a George at Asda haul and the jeans were a winner… I’m not sure on the tops though

A GLAM nan who’s an expert in high-street fashion has now weighed in on George at Asda’s current pieces.

Helen Mary Jo, who is 65-years-old, was more a fan of the supermarket’s current trousers than tops – including cargos, bootcut jeans and tracksuit bottoms. .

However, she dubbed the range as a whole as “value for money” that’s “hard to beat”.

Helen runs a ‘hauls in my hall’ series on YouTube which has seen her grow a loyal fanbase of women looking for no-frills fashion reviews.

She wears a size 18 and doesn’t shy away from any styles, inspiring other women to do the same.

In her George at Asda haul, Helen first reviewed a pair of bootcut jeans for £20 that were across two sizes at 18 to 20.

She said: “They’re really stretchy, really comfortable.”

Her only qualm was that there was no difference between the short and regular length.

Alongside the stylish jeans she tried on a Rolling Stones T-shirt and joked: “I don’t even like The Rolling Stones.”

Trying on George’s £14 Pink Embroidered Sleeveless V-Neck Top which was sleeveless with a frill detail over the shoulder, Helen remarked that she “doesn’t normally buy sleeveless tops”.

And although she liked the frilly blouse, she felt it was “too slim fitting” with areas of gaping.

Helen was a fan of George’s Khaki Casual Belted Woven Trousers for £12.50, though.

She dubbed the fit “really good” but warned they “didn’t have any stretch in them”.

And while she didn’t opt to keep them, Helen remarked: “They’re very, very good value.

“I mean really, really good value.

“Can’t can’t argue with that at all.”

A pair of £7 black joggers also made her haul.

Helen said: “I got the extra large and I probably should have got the large.

“But honestly, they are £7.

“Yeah, I’ve got no pockets but they’re very comfortable, obviously because they are quite large.”

The one top Helen did like in her haul was an £18 Black Floral Embroidered V-Neck Tunic.
