Cooking is one of Tears Of The Kingdom’s simple pleasures, but some dishes are more useful than others, giving Link a much needed boost.

Within the first few minutes of landing on the Great Sky Island in Tears Of The Kingdom you’re sure to learn some valuable skills and abilities, including cooking.

While eating is crucial for Link to replenish his hearts, there are equally scrumptious and rewarding dishes that offer some important perks.

Whether you need something to warm you up or a strong elixir to take down mighty foes, we’ve got you covered with a handpicked selection of the game’s most essential recipes.

Top 10 recipes in Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom

To unlock a recipe in Tears Of The Kingdom, you need to whip up a meal at least once. This usually involves some trial and error or chatting up characters who are generous enough to spill their culinary secrets.

But to give you a helping hand, here are some of the game’s finest dishes:

1. Spicy Sauteed Peppers – hearts and cold resistance

Ingredients: 5x spicy peppers

Perks: Not only will this delectable dish replenish five hearts, but it also grants a precious 12 minutes and 30 seconds of cold resistance.

2. Chilly Steamed Mushrooms – hearts and heat resistance

Ingredients: x4 chillshroom, x1 Hyrule herb

Perks: If you’re struggling to navigate Gerudo Desert, this revitalising dish is your saviour, restoring six hearts and granting a generous 10 minutes and 30 seconds of heat resistance. For an even lengthier reprieve, whip up some Chilly Simmered Fruit (x5 hydromelon) for a blissful 12 minutes and 30 seconds of heat-free exploration.
