Huge congratulations are in order for singer Jessie J who has announced the birth of her first child, a baby boy.

The Bang Bang performer announced the arrival of her first baby on social media, and said she was overjoyed he was finally here.

Jessie welcomes her bundle of joy with her basketballer beau Chanan Safir Colman, though she keeps her relationship out of the glare of the public eye. 

In March 2022, the parents-to-be first sparked romance rumours on Richard Branson’s Necker Island in the Caribbean after the professional athlete joined the singer during one of her work trips.

Prior to her pregnancy, the Price Tag singer had been vocal about her desire to become a mother amid fertility challenges and a diagnosis of adenomyosis.

The condition occurs when tissue that normally lines the uterus (endometrial tissue) grows into the muscular wall of the uterus.

The journey to the birth of her first baby has not been an easy one, to say the least.

She has openly spoken about having suffered a devastating miscarriage in November 2021, and said announcing her pregnancy following it made her ‘terrified’ ‘ given what she went through in the past.

She later admitted that her anxiety around pregnancy was what caused her to keep the pregnancy of her son a secret for so long, as she would often just close her eyes and ‘hope it would all continue to go well’.

As she progressed through her trimesters, she posted plenty of snaps of her growing and active baby bump, clearly thrilled that everything was going well.

She then posted a set of nude baby bump snaps, saying she wanted to ‘remember this feeling forever’ but soon decided to take a break from social media, to reconnect and get grounded prior to giving birth.

We hope we’ll be seeing plenty of adorable updates as the songstress delights in motherhood.
