I’m plus size & my Asos haul made my body look amazing – I sent back the dress that made me look like a sausage

IF you’re struggling to find some dresses that hug your curves you might want to head over to Asos.

One plus size fashion fan shared her recent Asos haul and though she admitted not everything was a winner some pieces were well worth the search.

Poppy Adams tried on five dresses in a TikTok video online. 

Starting off with the Asos Collusion plus shirred bodice maxi smock dress in black which is priced at £29.99. 

She said: “First up, we’re starting strong. It’s just a simple plain black dress. 100% cotton. When I saw this, I was like this is a Poppy shape. I knew this was gonna be good. 

Even Poppy was surprised that the dress hung low despite her height. 

“It hangs beautifully, it doesn’t feel super thin and super cheap, which I’m not gonna lie, I absolutely love collusion, but sometimes the quality is questionable. For reference I’m 5ft 7 and this comes to my ankle.”

Next Poppy tried the Asos design curve high neck midi dress with contrast stitch detail in animal print. 

The dress is currently on sale for £28.50 instead of £38, not bad. 

She said: “Next we have this dress. It’s super, super long. So this is a super soft T-shirt material. So comfy. And because of the lines on this dress, it actually makes it look super flattering.”

“I also think this could be super versatile. Like you could go heeled boots, normal heels for a night out, military boots, trainers. They look so cute. They actually like my black and white dunks.”

Poppy attempted to try on the £28 Asos design curvy keyhole mini dress in purple butterfly print but was not successful.

In fact it was so bad Poppy said it made her look like a piece of meat. 

She said: “I just tried to put this on my body. Imagine, if you will, a sausage skin enveloped with sausage. Now I have a genuinely zero recollection of buying this.”

Poppy was left completely confused by the next dress which was the £46 Asos design curve sweetheart neckline ruched waist midi dress with cap sleeved in black.

She said: “I actually think they might have sent me the wrong thing. Giving what a politician would wear to a fancy dinner. I’m not even gonna lie, my body looks pretty great in it.”

“No event on earth, I would be invited to it, in which I would wear this. To. I’m not that mad at it. I will be sending it back. So either I was drunk when I ordered it, or they’ve just sent me the wrong thing.”

The final dress Poppy tried on was the River Island plus knot back midi dress in beige animal print and it’s £50.

In conclusion some of the haul was a bit hit and miss but she would be returning two of her five dresses. 

She said: “Very bizarre mix of dresses. Not sure what was going on when I ordered them. We had some hits, we had some misses.”
