I’m a fashion whizz & there are three tops you need to bin if you have fat arms – normal basic T-shirts need to go first

A STYLE guru has listed the three types of tops to best avoid for those who have chunky arms, as they’re anything but flattering.

With the weather finally warming up, most of us have ditched the cosy jumpers for more summery tops – whether that’s a crop top or a slinky vest.

The guru shared the recommendations on TikTok where she has won over 116k fanstiktok/@marina_usti

But according to the US-based stylist Marina Usti, there are some picks that should be ditched if you have fat arms.

One of these, she revealed in a video shared on TikTok, is a figure-hugging T-shirt with sleeves that end at the largest part of your arm.

Marina, who regularly posts fashion advice, explained that this would not do you any favours and will only make them appear larger.

The same goes for tight garments with long sleeves – whilst you may think the material is sucking in fat, it’s actually the very opposite.

Last but certainly not least on the list of no-nos was the on-trend puff sleeve top.

Like the former two buys, this look will only draw the attention to your arms and make the upper half of your body larger.

Instead, she advised to go shopping and look out for other, more flattering options.

These include tops that aren’t clinging to your arms, as well as sleeves that are more diagonal.

But despite the recommendations, it seems that the clip didn’t receive positive feedback, as social media users quickly slammed the pro.

One was baffled by the lack of options left, writing: ”SO THEN WHAT CAN I WEAR?”

Another agreed, commenting: ”Toxic vibes from the ’90s!!!”

Meanwhile, someone else wouldn’t take the tips on board either, urging fellow style lovers to stick to their preferences.

”Or wear whatever you like.”

”Sorry but I wouldn’t agree on puffsleeves! I look good on it [sic],” a fourth hit back at Marina.

The pro, who posts under the username @marina_usti on the platform, has won more than a whopping 116k followers and close to 3million overall likes.

Some of her latest videos include tricks for hiding your belly, rolling your jeans in a fashionable manner and what to wear if you have wide shoulders.
