Savvy shopper shows off the TK Maxx steal she bagged in time for festival season and it only cost her £3

A BARGAIN-HUNTING shopper has been raving about a £3 purchase from TK Maxx that’s perfect for the festival season ahead.

Style enthusiast Lu Ashford shared the cheap find – a pair of wellies – she had nabbed from the high-street retailer for under a fiver on Facebook.

The affordable footwear by the popular fashion company Stradivarius was so low in price, she reckoned that even in second-hand stores the pair would be more expensive.

The rubber wellies were low-tops and came in a stunning cream shade that would be ideal for styling at festivals – or gardening, as many noted.

Sharing her bargain buy on the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, the lucky shopper chuckled, revealing that the store employees had to make sure the tag really said ”£3”.

”My great bargain today — £3 from TKmaxx.

”Yes, not to everybody’s taste but for £3 they are cheaper than the charity shop.

”They had to be checked by a manager to make sure that the codes matched and that the price was correct,” she wrote in the post.

Although the real retail price was not disclosed, Lu was quick to add that the wellies were comfortable and of high quality.

”I’ve got some Hunters similar but these are so much nicer. I can wear them as boots too,” she told fellow members of the page.

”I was a bit confused as they were so cheap. A great bargain though.

”They had so many shoes/sandals/boots reduced. You need to get yourself there,” the bargain hunter urged.

”Brilliant for gardening too,” another thought.

A mum wrote: ”Great for walking the kids to school in the rain or walking the dog that’s what I use mine for but they cost £20, so we’ll done.”

Meanwhile, someone else was about to check out their nearby high-street: ”That’s a good brand, they make quality clothing. I’m off to have a look in my local shop.”

According to Lu, even the shop employees had to double-check to see if the price was indeed £3Getty
