If you’ve recently attempted the kinetic blade exploit there’s a good chance you might get temporarily banned from Fortnite.

Game-breaking glitches are no strangers to Fortnite, often manifesting in the form of ridiculously powerful weapons or abilities that disrupt gameplay.

Not long ago, the Deku Smash move was temporarily removed due to its unfair advantage, but it was eventually reinstated after a few weeks of adjustment.

However, a newly discovered glitch in Fortnite has reached such severity that Epic Games has resorted to punishing exploiters with temporary bans.

It’s none other than the kinetic blade exploit, that allows players to essentially freeze time in the game, by following a few simple steps.

As explained by well-known leaker FNBRintel, to perform the exploit you have to make sure you are out in the open and near an opponent.

Then you need to disconnect your device from the internet, dash towards your chosen target and repeatedly use the slice feature until you feel you’ve done enough damage.

Finally, you need to reconnect to the internet, and you’re teleported back and granted the kill.

As cheaters took advantage of the glitch, their targets remained clueless about their impending doom, resulting in an incredibly unfair gaming experience.

Introduced as part of the Chapter 4 Season 2 update earlier this spring, the kinetic blade joined the battle royale’s arsenal as a relatively recent addition.

In response to the exploit’s discovery, Epic Games swiftly implemented temporary bans for players within less than a day.

Furthermore, to maintain a fair playing field, the weapon has been promptly removed from ongoing Fortnite tournaments until a fix is in place.

Although the kinetic blade is currently absent from the game, there is still a plethora of content to delve into.

The recent arrival of Miles Morales and the inclusion of various Spider-Verse quests have opened up new avenues for exploration and adventure in the game.

Due to an issue, we’ve temporarily disabled the Kinetic Blade in tournament playlists.
