Sam Smith fans devastated as concert ‘cancelled mid gig’ after teasing Madonna collab-Kitty Chrisp-Entertainment – Metro

Sam Smith fans were left absolutely gutted tonight after their concert was apparently ‘cancelled after four songs’.
The Unholy hitmaker, 31, was due to play in Manchester’s AO Arena for their Gloria tour tonight.
But, according to fans taking to social media upset at the turn of events, proceedings were cancelled after only a few songs.
Videos from the night showed crowds loitering around the stadium and slowly leaving with the lights up and a tanoy citing ‘issues with their voice’ for the abrupt stop.
One concerned fan, who filmed the sad scene, wrote: ‘Sam Smith show in Manchester has been cancelled due to their voice – hope everything is okay.’
Another fan filmed themselves leaving the concert, saying: ‘It makes absolutely no sense, he sounded stunning I thought, and they were saying, “Stick around to hear the new song, you’re a great crowd,” and then nothing.’

The gutted fan commented alongside the front-facing video: ‘I don’t think we are being told the truth but we shall see #samsmith.’
Another fan wrote: ‘Really odd night at Sam Smith’s Manchester show. Brilliant vocals & great energy for a handful of songs, a promise of an exclusive of a new song at the end.
‘A few songs in, the stage goes black before house lights come up and it’s announced that the show’s cancelled.’
‘Sam Smith got cancelled mid gig this is funny,’ wrote another fan who stuck around to snap the scenes.
This came after Sam teased a video on their Twitter simply saying ‘Sam and Madonna,’ apparently hinting they and the Lucky Star legend could be joining forces.
But if any ticketholders thought that Madonna could be coming on stage for the Manchester gig they must have gone from an incredible high, to a er, crashing low.
Sam also tweeted a picture earlier in the night saying, ‘Manchester, we’ve got a surprise for you this evening. Unholy won’t be the last song’.
