Primark fans left divided over 80s boots making a comeback for just £1 with some racing to nab a pair & others mortified

A BARGAIN-HUNTING Primark fan has sparked a fierce debate after sharing a snap of 80s-inspired boots that scanned for just £1.

We all love a good deal, so when shopper Sue Matlock, from London, spotted a pair of heeled boots going for a mere quid, she didn’t think twice and immediately informed others.

The bargain find was spotted in a Primark store in Croydon, LondonGetty

However, the bright heeled boots sparked a fierce debate, with many saying they wouldn’t pay even a pound for themfacebook/ExtremeCouponingAndBargainsUK

The footwear – bright blue boots with a kitten heel and a pointy toe – cost £1 and Sue had found them in a UK size 7.

After heading home from the store in Croydon, Sue posted a photo of the steal on Facebook – however, the 80s-inspired boots soon left social media users divided.

Whilst many were quite fond of the bargain find, others were totally horrified by the trend making a comeback in the fashion industry.

Despite scanning for a pound, some reckoned that even the low price was too high and they would not spend any money on the boots.

One mortified fashionista said: ”Even for a quid it’s a no.”

Another agreed, commenting: ”I can see why.”

”You couldn’t pay me to take them home,” someone else penned.

”I’d want 99p change,” a fourth joked.

But luckily, it wasn’t all negative, as numerous people admitted the blue boots were ”perfect”, especially for certain occasions.

A fellow style enthusiast of the popular Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group where the post was uploaded had even come up with an outfit idea.

”Great bargain they would looked nice with white trousers and top same colour the boots and white blazer and blue and white accessories.”

Meanwhile, another was convinced that it would be a different story if a celebrity was raving about the boots.

”If Taylor Swift was advertising these, I can guarantee they would be sold out the next day!!!”

After taking the internet by storm, Sue, the author behind the post, hit back at all the nasty comments.

Just before the comments were turned off, she typed: ”Well I put these on here because I thought someone would like them.

”They are not my taste but there are no need for cruel remarks if you dont like them thats your perogative [sic].”
