The historic run is over!
WWE superstar Asuka wins the Raw Women’s Championship at Night of Champions
Asuka ended the historic run of Bianca Belair to become new Raw Women’s Champion.
Night of Champions saw a major title shock as the EST of WWE’s 419-day run with the gold – the longest run with a women’s championship in the modern era – came to an end.
The Empress of Tomorrow has shown a new attitude since embracing her old killer clown persona at the 2023 Royal Rumble, and it paid off in a big way.
At the end of a great back and fourth bout between two of the mainstays of the women’s division, Asuka had to get creative after the champion had already ducked to avoid the poison mist.
However, she had a plan, secretly spraying the mist onto her own taped fingers, using them to escape the K.O.D. by blinding Bianca and scoring a monumental victory.
