Former A Place in the Sun presenter Danni Menzies has said her car was stolen by two people wearing balaclavas.

The TV presenter, 32, was previously one of the hosts of the lifestyle TV series, which follows British couples looking abroad to find their perfect property.

While she left the show last year, she is still appearing on some episodes that were filmed before her departure.

However when back home in the UK this week, the Scottish presenter posted footage of her car being taken.

Sharing a video of her Range Rover being driven away, she captioned the Instagram story: ‘What the f***.’

She added: ‘That’s just my car being stolen by [two people] in balaclavas. WTF!’

While it hasn’t been confirmed if the presenter contacted the police, and what happened to her car, she has since deleted the post from her Instagram page.

It comes after Danni was rushed to hospital after being caught up in an accident last year.

In October Danni was struck down while walking in Battersea, London, after two women driving a moped lost control and ploughed into her while travelling at 30mph.

The presenter was left unconscious before being taken to hospital and previously shared images of her receiving treatment and on the ground shortly after the incident.

Then in March she said that she ‘could have died’ when reflecting on what happened.

‘I could’ve died. It was really scary. I had to get scans for bleeding on the brain, my face was really messed up. I was depressed for a few months,’ she said when speaking to The Sun.

While she said her life ‘went on hold for a bit’, she was now ‘raring to go’.

Metro.co.uk has contacted representatives for Danni Menzies for comment.

A Place in the Sun is available to stream on All4.
