Holly Willoughby couldn’t look happier on holiday after Phillip Schofield reveals they don’t speak -Cydney Yeates-Entertainment – Metro

Holly Willoughby appeared totally carefree as she walked along the beach just hours after her former This Morning co-star Phillip Schofield revealed they are no longer on speaking terms.

The 42-year-old presenter is currently holidaying in Portugal with her family ahead of her return to the ITV daytime programme next week, which will see her host alongside Josie Gibson.

In new pictures, Holly couldn’t have looked happier as she frolicked on the beach with her friends with a beer in hand.

Dressed in a black scoop neck top and shorts and accessorising with a sun hat and shades, the mum-of-three grinned from ear to ear while leisurely walking barefoot on the sand.

In another photograph, Holly was seen handing over a pint to a friend as they enjoyed bathing in the sun.

Snapshots of Holly’s chilled holiday come after Phil confirmed they were no longer in contact after he admitted to having an ‘unwise but not illegal’ affair with a young runner on This Morning and quit ITV with ‘immediate effect.’

During a recent interview with The Sun, Phil also apologised to Holly for lying to her about his relationship

Speaking to the publication, he said: ‘I’ve lost my best friend. I let her (Holly) down. I let that entire show down. I let the viewers down.

‘Holly did not know (about the affair) and she was one of the first texts that I sent, to say: “I am so, so sorry that I lied to you”.

‘She didn’t reply and I understand why she didn’t reply, as well. So yeah. If anyone is in any way linking Holly to this; that is ­absolutely, wholly untrue.’

Not long after Phil’s remarks, Holly posted on her wellness company Wylde Moon’s Instagram page.

She published selfie on the social media site with wet hair and captioned the post: ‘We all love the sunshine, but it can do some sneaky damage to our hair if we don’t protect it.

Before Phil’s relationship with a runner was confirmed, there had been rumours of a fallout between Holly and Phil, claiming that the once-firm friends were ‘barely speaking’ behind the scenes of This Morning.

At the time, he had denied the rift.

Holly has not been presenting This Morning since the scandal broke after taking an early half-term break but will return next week.

It was previously reported that she could be questioned over Phil’s scandal in an external ITV review, alongside the likes of Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
