And now one fashion expert has revealed the hidden meaning behind the white dress that Holly chose to wear as she broke her silence about the ongoing situation.

Holly, 42, returned to This Morning‘s famous sofa after a holiday with her family in Portugal and time away from screens.
It was the mum-of-three’s first appearance since former TV husband and best friend Phillip, 61, left the flagship morning show and later admitted to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a younger male colleague.
As the camera panned to Holly – who Phil admitted knew nothing of his relationship – she could be seen composing herself to deliver her statement while wearing a white dress.
The lightly coloured vest midi dress featured a simple white collar and brown buttons, with a belt cinching in her waist.
And, according to celebrity stylist Miranda Holder, Holly – who sat alongside stand-in co-host Josie Gibson – Holly made a clear statement with the shade that she chose to wear.
Miranda exclusively told Fabulous: “It’s no coincidence that Holly chose to wear white for her difficult speech to This Morning viewers today – a marked and noticeable contrast to the usual bright florals she’s known for.
“Whilst white looks crisp, clean and summer-ready, it also has many deeper emotional and psychological connotations, which may well have given Holly an extra boost of confidence for this tricky television moment.”
Miranda, who can be found on her Instagram profile at @TheMirandaHolder, continued: “White symbolizes purity, innocence and also has angelic connotations, positioning Holly as an innocent bystander to recent events.
“The hue, synonymous with virgin snow and spotlessly clean showrooms, also evokes the sense of a fresh start for Holly, as she navigates this critical milestone in her career.”
Holly then fought back tears, as she delivered a monologue to This Morning viewers in which she addressed the fallout for the first time on camera.
Supported by Josie, 38, the visibly emotional presenter began: “Right, deep breath. Firstly, are you ok? I hope so.
“It feels very strange indeed sitting here without Phil and I imagine that you might have been feeling a lot like I have. Shaken, troubled, let down, worried for the wellbeing of people on all sides of what’s been going on and full of questions.
“All of us at This Morning gave our love and support to someone who was not telling the truth, who acted in a way that they themselves felt they had to resign from ITV and step down from a career that they loved. That is a lot to process.

“It’s equally hard to see the toll it’s taken on their own mental health. I think what unites us all now is a desire to heal for the health and wellbeing of everyone. I hope that as we start this new chapter and get back to a place of warmth and magic that the show holds for all of us, we can find strength in each other.
“And from the heart, can I just say thank you for all your kind messages and thank you for being here this morning. Myself, Josie, Dermot, Alison, Craig and every single person that works on this show will continue to work hard every single day to bring you the show that we love.”
This comes after Holly issued a brief Instagram statement in the immediate aftermath of Phil’s confession that he had an on-off relationship with his colleague while still married to wife Steph.
In it, Holly said: “When reports of this relationship first surfaced, I asked Phil directly if this was true and was told it was not.
She added: “It’s been very hurtful to now find out that this was a lie.”
