Love Island viewers expressed their annoyance after a Molly-Mae Hague trend played out on screen.
Molly fans know that the reality star’s favourite stuffed animal is her elephant Ellie Belly, first introduced to the world back on series five.
Previous islanders including Faye Winter and Tasha Ghouri have copied the sweet sentiment, and latest contestant Molly Marsh has now joined the club.
In Tuesday’s instalment, 21-year-old Molly surprised Mitchel Taylor, 26, with her cuddly toy named Plop.
Quickly picking up on the similarities, fans suggested that the couple were doing a Molly-Mae and Tommy [Fury]’ who were runners-up back in 2019.
‘Can everyone stop tryna be molly mae with these silly toys in bed [sic],’ one person tweeted.
Another added: ‘Molly Mae really started something with Ellie Belly now everyone is bringing their teddy to the villa,’ while another joked: ‘The cynic in me thinks some of these people bring in stuffed animals to replicate the Molly Mae magic.’
During Monday’s debut, Molly and Mitchel shared a kiss during a game, although she vowed nothing else would be happening on the first night.
It wasn’t long later when that went out the window, and the duo shared a sweet kiss in bed, after Molly asked if she could be big spoon.

And although it’s only been two days, it looks like the pair only have eyes for each other at the moment.
Earlier in the evening, Mitchel was praised by all the girls around the firepit after strolling over to offer Molly his jacket.
‘Can you train up the other ones?’ Ella joked, while the other boys were urged to ‘take notes’.
‘Me and Mitchel haven’t spoken that much this morning, I feel like people are getting the vibe that the connection is really good, but I don’t want people to see that all the time like I am open to speak to everyone,’ Molly later insisted, before chats with George and Zachariah.
Love Island returns tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
