Denise Welch has got fired up whilst discussing Prince Harry’s court case on Loose Women.

After two weeks away from the panel, Denise, 65, returned on Thursday and didn’t waste any time sharing her opinions.

In the opening minutes the group of women, which also included Charlene White, Jane Moore and Linda Robson, discussed the royal’s case against Mirror Group Newspapers, which is currently playing out in the High Court.

His case alleges that about 140 articles published between 1996 and 2010 by MGN titles contained information gathered using unlawful methods.

When speaking about the case, Denise alleged that she had been a victim of phone hacking herself and detailed how she spoke to police about information being obtained about her illegally.

She then went on to say there was no doubt in her mind that Prince Harry had in fact been hacked, a claim that her co-hosts attempted to argue against.

Referencing how the case was still unfolding, Jane, 61, said while Prince Harry ‘believed’ information had been obtained by illegal means, ‘it has not been proven’.

‘Well I’m pretty sure…everybody knows what happened,’ Denise responded.

‘To me, even if he doesn’t prove it, I don’t think there is one person, except journalists, who actually believe that didn’t happen on an industrial scale.’

But as Jane pointed out, that was ‘not the point of a court case’.

‘You have to be able to prove something in court. A court is not a place to vent. Hold a press conference by all means…everybody would attend his press conference, or start a campaign,’ she said.

Jumping in, Denise then questioned: ‘Jane, do you believe Prince Harry was not hacked on an industrial scale?’

‘I don’t know,’ she replied, which lead Charlene to say that was ‘the point of a court case’.

However Denise then said that Jane’s opinion was linked to her career in journalism.

After being asked if she trusted Jane, she said: ‘I trust you implicitly, but I don’t trust many of your colleagues.’

As the segment wrapped up with Jane reminding that a ‘burden of proof’ was needed, Denise rolled her eyes at her co-panelist.

This is not the first time Denise has thrown her support behind Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

Earlier this year she said the prince should be able to ‘say his piece’ following backlash to some of the details published in his memoir, Spare, as well as the fact he was making money out of sharing private family exchanges.

‘The fact is the Royal Family make quite a bit of money, Jane, themselves,’ she stated, claiming that it was ‘game over’ when ‘Meghan was seen as the People’s Princess’.

‘I think do what you like and tell your story,’ she added.

The former soaps actress then declared she was ‘team Harry and Meghan’.

Loose Women airs weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV1.
