I thought I’d found the best wedding guest dresses for summer & I look great but people reckon they’re vulgar and showy

A STYLISH fashion fan has divided opinions after sharing options of dresses she may wear to a wedding.

The much-awaited wedding season has finally arrived, and one of those getting ready for a ceremony is TikTok user Helena Critchley.

For the most part, people insisted that her dresses were too ‘showy’ for attending a weddingTik Tok/@helenacritchley

This stunning number retails for an eye-watering £90 on ASOSTik Tok/@helenacritchley

To make sure she looks her best, the style enthusiast has been spending time to find the ultimate wedding dress online, including from the fast fashion retailer ASOS.

Armed with a shopping haul, the blonde stunner took to TikTok to seek advice and opinion from others – however, the reaction was not the one she was after.

One of the options she had nabbed was a lace bardot maxi dress with cut-out detailing around the waist.

The garment, which retails for an eye-watering £90 on ASOS, comes with frills at the bottom and is available in a stunning blue colour.

Next up in the try-on video was a more vibrant outfit – a ruffle maxi dress with a pink and orange flower print.

Styled with a golden pair of heels and a chic up-do, Helena looked incredible in the £78 number.

The third option the wedding guest was considering was another maxi dress – this time, in purple.

The strappy, figure-hugging garment came with a cut-out detailing around her bust area and an eye-catching tie around the back.

The final outfit in the haul was a halter neck dress in a vibrant pastel print with abstract shapes.

Posing with the garment, Helena, who posts under the username @helenacritchley, showed off her toned back looking incredible.

But whilst the young woman may have been in love with the options, describing them as ”absolutely beaut”, people on social media weren’t so sure.

Urging Helena to choose the pink dress, one person described the other options are ”too showy and vulgar”.

Another said: ”Last one is the only one appropriate.”

”all lovely but lilac not wedding appropriate..” someone else reckoned.

”You look fabulous in all of them, but I’d pick 2 or 1,” a viewer added.

Luckily, some fans didn’t see an issue with any of the outfit options, as one hit back at all the trolls writing: ”They’re all very appropriate and not revealing??? She looks gorg in them.”

Some meanies described the print as that of an outdated wallpaperTik Tok/@helenacritchley
