A woman who had maggots in her toes is finally recovering after seeing Dr Pimple Popper, and her legs not only look better, but there’s less of a smell, too.

This series of the TLC reality programme has seen the likes of a woman who went to a wizard for help with a ‘third boob’ growing on her shoulder, and a lady with maggots in her toes.

Cosmetic surgeon and dermatologist Dr Sandra Lee elsewhere helped a man with 400 tumours all over his body, and another with a cyst behind his head that he calls his ‘evil twin’.

A recent episode saw patient Paula suffering from crusted over, rough feet, that had patches of skin which were raw and moist, an others completely covered in hard, dry skin, with flies circling around.

But now, after Dr Lee’s help, she’s on the road to recovery.

Making a home visit, Dr Lee is relieved to find Paula has been following her careful instructions in looking after her legs.

‘Everything is going fine, and I expect it to get even better with the exercises,’ Paula assures.

She continues: ‘When we first met [my legs] were leaking constantly, that doesn’t happen anymore, at all.’

‘That was leading to that build up of the crustiness,’ Dr Lee informs.

‘You think that has gotten less?’

Paula goes on to show her legs, agreeing the crustiness ‘comes and goes’.

‘It looks really great, it’s clearing up certainly from the top down,’ Dr Lee praises, saying: ‘That looks better! You’re doing a good job.’

‘That’s doing a lot better, it’s not oozing, it’s dried up!’ she continues, as the programme shows a series of before and after pictures boasting the transformation.

‘Today, the swelling is certainly much less, she doesn’t have a lot of crusting, a lot of redness, she certainly doesn’t have much oozing and with that comes much less smell,’ Dr Lee says.

She then adds, however, that there are still ‘some real problems’.

In a previous stomach-churning clip, Paula shared: ‘I found maggots between my toes.

‘Then my son came over and said, “You can’t stay here like this anymore.

‘”You have to go into the hospital.” So I went into the hospital.’

She continued: ‘The nurses came in and cleaned up the wounds.

‘They did an X-ray to make sure the maggots hadn’t gotten into the bone, and sent me home.

‘I’ve been through many doctors, over the years, and no one has been able to help.’

Dr Pimple Popper airs on TLC in America.
