Better Call Saul actor Paul Geoffrey dies aged 68-Josie Copson-Entertainment – Metro

Paul Geoffrey has died aged 68 from cancer.

According to Santa Fe New Mexican obituaries he died on June 3 from cancer.

The actor had a series of roles during his career including in Breaking Bad spinoff Better Call Saul and 1981 film Excalibur alongside Helen Mirren.

His last role was in a 2019 episode of Epix called Perpetual Grace.

Part of his obituary read: ‘Paul John Geoffrey was born and raised in England, where he lived his dream of being an actor and was known for his portrayal of Percival in Excalibur and other leading roles in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Anna Karenina, Wuthering Heights, Poirot, Inspector Morse, and more.’

It continued: ‘A thespian to the core, Paul continued to act for the remainder of his life. He loved French wine and food, had a stunning grasp of history, was a life-long Arsenal fan, and excelled at being the sweetest guy in the world.’

He played the part of a tailor in Better Call Saul, and the prominent role of King Arthur’s ally Perceval in Excalibur which is a dark and brutal view of the Arthurian legend.

The film also helped the early careers of Patrick Stewart and Liam Neeson, and won best artistic contribution at the Cannes Film Festival.

As well as acting, Geoffrey trained as a real estate agent after moving to Santa Fe in New Mexico.

Paul is survived by his wife Sue Taylor and three children, Alex, Oliver, and Daisy.
