Lauren Harries is now awake after being placed in an induced coma.

The 2013 Celebrity Big Brother star, 45, underwent emergency brain surgery earlier this year and has been recovering in hospital.

Her mum, Katie, shared this week that Lauren had to be put into an induced coma by doctors after suffering a seizure.

Thankfully, she has now been woken.

However, she is in a lot of pain.

Sharing an update to Twitter, Lauren’s mum got candid about the latest bump in the road to her recovery.

‘Lauren was woken after her induced coma, she still has painful seizures which cause her whole body to shake uncontrollably’, she wrote.

‘She is unable to walk and her feet are in pain.’

Her mum went on to thank Lauren’s fans alongside a picture of the child prodigy sitting up in bed and doing some arts and crafts

‘The only thing keeping her going at the moment is you, her fans and her painting.’

She added: ‘Doctors are still unable to diagnose what’s causing any of this, they are testing different medications to help.

‘Thank you all for keeping her in your thoughts. She loves you all.’
