Asuka has heart the people moaning about the new WWE Women’s Championship and she’s not having any of it.

During this week’s episode of SmackDown, the company unveiled a new design for the belt as it scrapped the Raw Women’s Title – while thankfully keeping its lineage – and replaced it with a prize not so closely tied to just one show.

It’s a welcome change and one fans have been clamouring for, but some viewers founds reasons to complain, including the giant WWE logo which has become commonplace in the modern era.

Some people also pointed out its similarity to the new Undisputed WWE Universal Title given to Roman Reigns the previous week to celebrate his 1,000 day run with the gold, albeit with a white strap.

However, the Empress of Tomorrow has no time for the naysayers, and she fired back on Twitter.

She tweeted: ‘I would like to see the fashion sense of the person who says that my belt design is terrible 🫵🤪 If they have bad fashion sense, I despise them 💩’

It seems some people agree, with plenty of her followers responding to show their support and defend the gold.

‘That belt would go perfectly with an Iron Maiden tshirt,’ suggested one Twitter user, with Asuka replying: ‘Obviously!’

‘It looks good on you. I like the design,’ wrote a second fan, while another added: ‘That belt looks amazing 🔥🔥🔥

‘It doesn’t matter what the belt looks like…. as long as you have it,’ said another supporter, but her run with the gold – which began with a massive victory over Bianca Belair at Night of Champions last month – could already be in jeopardy.

After she was presented with the new title on Friday, she was quickly interrupted by a returning Charlotte Flair, who is just three separate world championship runs away from beating the record held by her father Ric Flair and Hollywood star John Cena.

The two stars will go face to face for the gold on the June 30 episode of SmackDown, which is airing live from The O2 one night before Money In The Bank takes place at the same London venue.

WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
