No exact launch month yet but it’ll be out in 2024 (Picture: Microsoft)

Three years after its announcement and Obsidian’s fantasy roleplayer Avowed finally has gameplay, and it certainly looks like Skyrim.

Fable may be lacking a launch date still but the Xbox Games Showcase confirmed that one other fantasy roleplaying game will come to Xbox in 2024: Obsidian’s Avowed.

While the trailer is brief, it does show some snippets of gameplay and, for now, those Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim comparisons seem apt.

Aside from being a first person game, you can see the player character fight enemies with different kinds of weapons and magic spells.

Hopefully, Microsoft and Obsidian will have more to say in the coming days, but they have confirmed that it will be out in 2024.

It’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass day one and launch for PC too via Steam.

Avowed launches for Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2024.
