Rather than save it for its own showcase, Ubisoft has unveiled its big Star Wars game at the Xbox Games Showcase.

The announcement trailer was entirely cinematic, but we finally have real details for Ubisoft’s open world Star Wars game, titled Star Wars: Outlaws.

Set between Episodes 5 and 6, you take control of new character Kay Vess who, along with her partner in crime Nix, will ‘Fight, steal, and outwit your way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted.’

Despite chatter suggesting that development troubles would push it back to 2025, it’s officially slated for 2024, though it currently lacks an exact month.

It’s also only scheduled for Xbox but it’ll most likely be a multiplatform launch.

Hopefully, Ubisoft will have some actual gameplay to show at its Ubisoft Forward showcase.

Said showcase will take place tomorrow on Monday June 12 at 6pm and is expected to showcase new footage of Ubisoft’s Avatar game as well.
