Jess Harding did her own Botox before appearing on Love Island as she was afraid of having ‘wrinkles’.

The aesthetics practitioner is only 22 years of age but worried about having wrinkles on the reality dating show, which has returned for a new series on ITV2.

And with the show watched by millions of people, there was no way she was going on before having Botox – even if she had to do it herself.

The star revealed she desperately wanted Botox before Love Island began filming, but ‘no one was available.’

She told OK! Magazine: ‘The other day I did do my own Botox because no one was available.’

Jess added: ‘It was horrible but I had to do it, you can’t have wrinkles on telly.’

It should be noted that Jess does Botox on other people for a living, and we really would not recommend anyone else giving themselves the procedure – and neither would Jess herself.

It’s far from the first time she’s had procedures done, having previously got ‘a little bit of Botox and filler… because when it’s your job it’s quite easy to just say, “Go on then.”‘

She insisted however that she doesn’t do anything ‘extreme’ – and manages to get Botox despite being ‘quite scared of needles.’

Jess is currently making waves in the villa, having entered last week as a bombshell, and is currently coupled up with Sammy Root

The star has already had audiences in stitches – and some cringeing – as in a recent episode she struggled over the word ‘reimburse’ and was convinced it was ‘reimbursinating’.

Although, going off the actual conversation, she probably didn’t mean reimburse at all, and was likely looking for the word ‘recreating’.

‘You’re reimbursing an action,’ Jess tried to explain, before asking: ‘Is reimburse a word?’

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
