Rhea Ripley has officially been crowned the new Women’s World Champion.

The WWE superstar captured the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 39 with a win over Charlotte Flair, but with her now on Raw – and Raw Women’s Champ Asuka on the blue brand – the muddy situation needed clearing up.

On Friday night, Asuka was presented with the WWE Women’s Title, and on Monday it was Rhea’s turn to be given a new prize.

She started off Monday Night Raw with Adam Pearce, who unveiled the gold, which takes its inspiration from Seth Rollins’ World Heavyweight Title.

Featuring a design reminiscent of the Big Gold Belt, the fresh title belt has the WWE logo at the centre, while Rhea’s version has a white strap in contrast to Seth’s black one.

It now means neither of the women’s titles are specifically linked to the brands by name, although the Judgment Day star will be defending hers as a Raw-exclusive star for now.

She’s clearly delighted, and took to Twitter during Raw after taking part in her first photo shoot with the hardware.

Posing with the championship, she was joined by her on-screen partner Dominik Mysterio, who cuddled her from behind and rested his head on her shoulder.

In one snap she was holding the edges of the title, while another saw her holding out her hands – and sticking out her tongue – to frame it in a D-Generation X style pose.

She captioned the tweeted: ‘NEW WOMAN’S WORLD CHAMPION! ⚖️🔥’

Referee Jess Carr was clearly impressed as she responded: ‘Dude it’s so sick.’

WWE Raw airs Monday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
