All Elite Wrestling star Jamie Hayter has claimed her fellow wrestlers would be ‘fools’ not to want to learn from CM Punk.

The WWE legend is poised to make his return to Tony Khan’s company this weekend on Saturday night’s debut of AEW Collision nine months after his infamous press conference rant following All In, which sparked a legitimate backstage brawl and left many wondering he would ever be back on screen.

Speaking about having Punk backstage during his initial run with AEW, Jamie exclusively told Metro.co.uk: ‘From my experience with him, he was always very, very pleasant.

‘Very helpful, and I always had really great conversations with him about wrestling. He’s a wealth of knowledge because he’s been in the business for so long, and he’s got extensive experience.

‘You’d kind of be a fool to not want to pick his brain and not want to work with the guy. He knows what he’s doing!’

Punk’s legacy in wrestling speaks for itself, and the former AEW Women’s World Champion suggested he was ‘still incredibly popular’ despite what went down in September 2022.

‘He was one of the most gripping performers in professional wrestling. The Summer of Punk, all of that, everyone was so into it and there was a reason why he was the most popular wrestler,’ she said.

‘To be honest, I would say he’s still incredibly popular now, regardless of the All Out stuff and the drama. He’s still a big name and he’s still wanted in the business.’

Jamie, who is currently sidelined with an injury but no doubt hoping to be part of AEW’s upcoming All In London show at Wembley Stadium, was speaking to us before Punk’s return was made official.

However, even before anything was confirmed she was still open to the idea of having him back, providing it would be ‘good for the company’ as a whole.

She added: ‘You know what? It’s not my company. I can’t speak for everybody, but I wouldn’t have an issues with it. If it’s gonna be good for the company, then I’m all for it. If it’s gonna put butts in seats, if it’s gonna get people to watch, then absolutely!’

AEW Collision debuts on Saturday, June 18 at 1am on Fite TV. Tickets for AEW All In London at Wembley Stadium are available here.
