Disney Plus has been hugely popular since it launched in 2020, treating subscribers to exclusive shows like Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian and Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Marvel’s Loki, She-Hulk: Attorney At Law, and WandaVision.

It is also home to new animated blockbusters Turning Red and Encanto as well as the live-action remakes of Mulan, Aladdin, The Lion King, and more.

Not only does the service offer family-friendly content, but its more adult-themed hub Star launched in 2021, offering viewers some classic films from the Disney stable as well as box sets of TV series including The Simpsons, American Horror Story, Desperate Housewives, Family Guy, and The Walking Dead.

But just how much will all that Disney magic set you back, and will would-be subscribers be able to try it for free?

We’ve got all the information you need.

How much is the Disney Plus monthly subscription in the UK?

Disney Plus costs £7.99 a month.

Subscribers can register Disney Plus on up to 10 devices and one account can support up to seven profiles – while you can stream content concurrently on four devices at once.

The subscription works on a monthly basis – so you can also cancel at any time.

Annual subscribers will pay £79.90 for the service, saving over 15%.

Does Disney Plus have a free trial period?

Unfortunately Disney Plus no longer offers a free trial to new subscribers.

However, an annual subscription does work out cheaper than paying monthly – so that’s something to consider if you plan to sign up.

Some mobile phone providers, such as o2, also offer you money off your bill with them if you take out a monthly subscription – you can find out more at their website.

How do you sign up to Disney Plus?

You can sign up through the Disney Plus website or app.

Disney Plus is compatible on major tablets, smartphones, Smart TVs, Apple TVs, PS5s, Amazon Fire TVs, Xbox Series Xs and more.

How do you cancel Disney Plus?

You can cancel your Disney Plus subscription at any time, and it’s easy to do so if you decide you no longer want it.

To do so, you will need to log in to your account via your phone or computer, head to the ‘account’ section of your profile, and choose the ‘subscription’ option.

This will give you details of which subscription you have, and all you need to do is select the ‘cancel subscription’ option.

You’ll be prompted to give a reason for cancelling before you can complete this.

Once you’ve cancelled, you’ll still be able to access Disney Plus up to the end of your billing cycle.

If you have a Disney account to access other products and services from the company, you’ll still be able to use this even after you cancel Disney Plus.
