Rylan Clark’s wild hair transformation is inspiring a lot of comparisons-Tori Brazier-Entertainment – Metro

Rylan Clark put on quite a show as he debuted a new hairstyle on Instagram over the weekend.

The popular presenter, who is currently having a grand time galivanting around Venice in Italy, took to Instagram to show off his luscious locks.

On Saturday night, the 34-year-old started off with a tease, uploading a photo that showed off a portion of his beard and mouth and his white unbuttoned shirt, alongside what appeared to be flowing long brown hair.

He simply captioned it with ellipses, but his fans were already reacting.

‘Practically the twin of Sam Ryder,’ commented one, referencing the 2022 Eurovision star for the UK, who is famed for his long hair and beard – although blonde.

‘JONATHAN VAN NESS???’ exclaimed another, while someone else was thinking more Hollywood as they replied: ‘Ok Jared Leto! 🔥’

Others were also remembering when Rylan himself rocked long hair after first being introduced to national TV audiences on a certain Saturday night singing competition.

‘You auditioning for x factor again?’ asked one joker.

Rylan then popped back on his account to post another picture, this time showing his new hair off in all its glory, parted down the centre and running straight past his shoulders until mid-chest length.

‘Venezia,’ he wrote this time, again not really any clearer on what was going on with his barnet.

However, his friends and followers were very much enjoying the transformation still.

‘❤️ Love it,’ commented singer Louise Redknapp, while Strictly Come Dancing professional Nancy Xuxi left a string of heart-eye emoji.

Slightly more bluntly – and clearly deciding Rylan was pulling all of our legs, Steps star Claire Richards added: ‘F***s sake 😂😂’

Comparisons continued once more, with people reckoning he looked a little like Jesus, as well as Sam and Jared remaining popular choices.

However, perhaps the most obvious resemblance was finally commented on as one fan wrote: ‘Didn’t know I followed Conchita… 😉 xxx’

Others also referenced Austria’s 2014 Eurovision Song Contest winner Conchita Wurst too.

‘Seriously, stop Conchitirig [sic] about and get back to you radio show. Miss ya 💕,’ posted another.

Rylan announced last month that he was taking a break from his BBC Radio 2 programme for a ‘fair few weeks’, in order to do ‘other bits and bobs’.

Some fans had speculated he would be a replacement for Phillip Schofield on This Morning after his bombshell exit, but no permanent replacement to host alongside Holly Willoughby has yet been announced.

The Big Brother star also hung up his dancing shoes with regular presenting gig It Takes Two earlier this year, the companion show to Strictly Come Dancing.

Finalist on last year’s competition, singer-songwriter Fleur East was subsequently announced as his replacement, to work alongside co-host Janette Manrara.

‘Congrats @FleurEast have the best time xx,’ Rylan tweeted after the announcement on Friday.

Rylan is currently filming a BBC travel show in Italy and Europe alongside Rob Rinder, 45, in which they follow in the footsteps of British aristocrats like poet Lord Byron, who went on a ‘Grand Tour’ of classical sites and cities as they became adults.

Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour is yet to receive a broadcast date.
