Henry Cavill bid an emotional farewell to The Witcher during Netflix’s Tudum event in Brazil.

Last October, it was announced that the actor, 40, had quit the Netflix fantasy series, with Liam Hemsworth replacing him as Geralt of Rivia from season 4.

During the fan event, the Man of Steel star gave a teary speech and gave a special shout-out to his co-starsFreya Allan, Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey.

‘Thank you very much to all. Thank you. I really feel the love, and I love you too. It’s wonderful to be here,’ he began.

‘I actually just want to talk about my co-stars here, because once again it was such a pleasure and an honour to be working with you guys.’

He continued: ‘You guys bring so much nuance and detail to these characters, which are often at risk of being oversimplified, and what you guys have done with the characters has involved work, care, and effort.’
