I’m a traveller and compared Primark and JD shorts – one was so boujee, the price difference was a huge factor too
WITH the sun shining, one woman decided to compare and contrast pairs of shorts from two different shops on the high street.
And it seems there was a clear difference in the fashion pieces from Primark and JD, as one ticked far more boxes than the other.
The Primark set caught the shopper’s eyes
Social media user Charlotte Ann – who is part of the traveller community – was out browsing when she came across the summer must-haves.
Up first, Charlotte, whose TikTok profile is @charlotteann71, spotted a matching shorts and top combo in Primark that she knew she had to have.
They were both the exact same shade of pink, but had a cartoon red heart printed on them.
As she took them to the till point, Charlotte described them as “boujee” and said she was looking forward to trying them on.
But her shopping spree didn’t end there.
She joked: “I left and then a strong gust of wind just blew me into JD, it wasn’t even my fault.
“And then it just magically made me pick these things up.”
This time it was another matching pink set from Adidas with a simple logo embossed on them in a green colour.
Charlotte showed how they were on sale, with each piece reduced from £30 to £20, and added that she couldn’t resist a bargain.
She went on: “I didn’t even realise it was happening but the wind brought me to the till, took out my credit card, paid for the stuff, put it in a bag and then walked out of the shop.”
Once she’d purchased both outfits, Charlotte went home to try them on and see what she thought.
Charlotte modelled the lighter pink Primark set first, as she twirled for the camera and gave her verdict.
She revealed: “I really like this – it’s boujee.”
The video then cut to her walking out in the Adidas combo, as she once again shared her thoughts.
She said: “I’m so so [on this]. This was £40 and the Primark set was like £15 and I think the Primark set is nicer.”
And it seems Charlotte’s 89.9k social media followers were largely in agreement – and not just because of the price difference.
One wrote: “The bottoms on the Primark set look like a better fit.
“The crotch on the other one would drive me mad and it always happens when I buy shorts.”
A second said: “The Primark set is fab on you.”
As a third added: “Primark set far nicer hun.”
