I prepped my Glastonbury outfits early and it was underwhelming – but you need a £5 bucket hat from Primark

A GLASTONBURY reveller has showcased a selection of the outfits she hoped to bring to the iconic festival – but dubbed the haul “underwhelming”.

Fashionista Faye Ellaby tried on a number of sample sale, Zara, H&M and Primark pieces ahead of this weekend’s festival.

Hundreds of thousands of people will attend the event with many putting hours of prep into their looks.

But for content creator Faye, a £5 woven straw sun hat from Primark was the star of the show which she dubbed her “new obsession”.

The first outfit she tried on with the hat was a patchwork mini dress she purchased from a Rixo sample sale.

And while the unique dress was stunning and complete with sequin detailing, she felt it was “too big”.

Her second outfit was a brown and cream chequered poplin shirt and short set with coral print from Toast.

However, Faye’s qualm about the outfit was that she wasn’t sure if she “looked like a little boy”.

“It’s not really anything exciting,” she added. “I think this would just be like my Wednesday, kicking about camp outfit. Not sure.”

The next outfit she tried on was a striped crochet two piece from Zara that was “very underwhelming” with odd shaping on the top.

Fortunately, her next outfit, a lace black dress from H&M, was a hit.

“I just put it on with some cycling shorts, a little bra from Primark and my Dr Martens,” Faye quipped. “I really like this.

“My only worry is that if it’s hot, I might be sweaty.”

The final three outfits she tried on were a colourful crochet short and vest two piece from Nobody’s Child, an “old” crochet Zara maxi dress and a denim vest and shorts two-piece.

“It’s really not that exciting currently,” Faye concluded on her fashion haul, which she posted on TikTok.

The crochet pieces were a hit with viewers.

Particularly, the colourful Nobody’s Child set was dubbed “insane” and “stunning” by fashion fans.

Highly sought after tickets for this weekend’s festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset set back music lovers £335, without the added cost of food and drinks.

Revellers are attending the world-famous event to watch live performances from the likes of headliners Arctic Monkeys, Elton John and Guns N’ Roses.
