Even the most dedicated fans ran from Louis Tomlinson’s Colorado gig after giant hail stones hit the crowd before the singer could take the stage.

Louis, whose sister recently announced she was expecting, sent his regards to fans after his show was derailed by freak weather with claims of the crowd suffering from broken bones.

First responders were seen attending to guests as over 90 people needed medical attention and seven were reportedly hospitalised.

The ex-One Direction star hadn’t even come on stage yet when the gig in Red Rocks was forced to end as the heavens opened with a barrage of ice.

‘Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone’s ok, I’ll be back! Even though we didn’t play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!’ tweeted Louis.

Hail the size of golf balls rained down as fans hid beneath their own signs in what some have described as the ‘scariest night’ of their lives.

One fan wrote: ‘Tonight was the scariest night of my life. It started pelting people with hail at Red Rocks and my sister and I luckily found shelter under a sign.

‘I am bleeding and have huge bumps on my head from the hail. Hoping everyone made it out safely.’

They shared a video of the horrific scenes inside the venue as another fan responded: ‘I’m so sorry. We just left the same show. I have a broken hand from the hail.’

The Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre tweeted that weather had delayed the show, but then shared fans could return after being given the all-clear.

It then confirmed the show was officially postponed due to the extreme weather, urging people to ‘be safe’ when leaving the venue.

‘At red rocks, during the hail storm, I was separated from my friend. I was lucky enough to make my way to the first aid room. They treated my head wound,’ shared another fan.

‘A lovely mother wrapped a blanket around me, I would like to thank her for her kindness..’

The fan then added that their friend attempted to get into the medical tent but a steward on the door was blocking access – luckily the friends reconnected and got home safely.

In March, Louis’ documentary All Of Those Voices revealed how the dad of one cried when his son Freddie, seven, came to watch him perform for the first time.

His One Direction bandmates came to the premiere to support the singer too, including Liam Payne, with who he has only just reconciled.
