I bought a dress online thinking it was a bargain but what turned up was a fail…people joke I could use it for Halloween

A WOMAN has revealed that she ordered what she thought looked like a stunning dress, but when it arrived, she was left open-mouthed.

Fashion fan Pauline explained that she had a formal event to go to, so ordered a stylish maxi dress that she had seen online for the occasion.

However, when her order arrived, what she received was completely different to what she had seen online and has since left many in hysterics.

Pauline took to social media to share her fashion fail, leaving many totally stunned.

Posting on TikTok under the username @appalling_, Pauline shared what she ordered, and then posted an image of what she actually got.

At the start of the clip, Pauline shared a screenshot of the dress that she ordered online – a blue scoop neck dress.

She said: “Ordered this dress online for a formal, thinking it looked great on the model.”

Seconds later, Pauline shared a picture of her wearing the dress, as she noted: “This is what I received.”

To Pauline’s surprise, the dress was a totally different colour and a very different fit to the picture.

What Pauline received was a far brighter blue and was nowhere near as slim fitting as it appeared on the website.

She later added: “It was non-refundable too.”

The fashion fan also confirmed: “It was two years ago, I think it was about £40.

“Clearly too good to be true.”

Pauline’s clip has clearly left many stunned, as it has quickly amassed 89,700 views.

It has 1,215 likes, 35 comments, 2 saves and 11 shares.

Social media users were left open-mouthed at Pauline’s new dress – and while some were shocked at how different it was, others suggested she wear it for Halloween instead.

One person said: “You could maybe use it as a costume for Halloween.”

Another added: “There’s a very big difference between them..”

A third commented: “Sorry but this is so funny, hope it didn’t cost too much.”

Whilst someone else simply posted: “Oh dear.”

Meanwhile, one fashion fan chimed in: “I’m sorry!! That’s unfortunate.”
