I’m a curvy size 16 & tried on 18 pairs of jeans in search for the best – the sizings were crazy, now I just ignore them

A FASHION fan has revealed her sizing struggle after trying to hunt down a pair of jeans that would fit her perfectly.

Social media user Dyllan, who is a size 14-16 and describes herself as being part of the “chunky cutie club”, went shopping to see what she could find.

One woman revealed she’d tried on 18 pairs of jeans in the exact same size – and they were all differentTikTok/dyllanmoximxo

Some fitted well, while others wouldn’t do upTikTok/dyllanmoximxo

But it wasn’t long until she realised it would be a harder task than she thought – as the sizing of each was completely off.

Dyllan, who can be found via her TikTok profile at @dyllanmoximxo, said at the start of her try-on video: “Hi, welcome to my episode of why we can’t trust the size of the tag.”

She continued to her 534k followers: “Every jean that I try on is going to be a size 16 and you’re going to see that they all fit me entirely differently.

“You know why? Because every single brand and every single company has their own set of specs.

“They’re making things off of what they believe is a size 16 and so is someone down the street, ok.”

She added: “That’s why nothing makes sense and that’s why we can’t be stressed over the number on the tag again.”

Dyllan then reiterated: “Again, all of these jeans are the same size. Here we go…”

The footage then quickly ran through the 18 pairs of jeans in question, as Dyllan showed that some fitted well and others were a little snug.

Meanwhile, some wouldn’t do up, while others hung slightly off of her frame.

And it seems this isn’t just Dyllan’s fashion predicament – as she was inundated with comments from fellow social media users who said the exact same.

One wrote: “I’ve lost 50IB. I went from a size 18 in American Eagle to barely squeezing in a size 18 American Eagle mom shorts.”

A second person said: “I’m an 18 in some places and a 22 in others. The difference in brands is crazy.”

Another recalled: “There’s no way – I got two of the same jeans from Berksha.

“[They were] in the same sizing, just a different colour, and one couldn’t get past my thighs.”

They added: “It’s atrocious.”

While a third commented: “What makes me even more mad than this is when brands are inconsistent within themselves.

“Like how does one size 12 fit but not the other one??”
