The Usos sent a clear message to Roman Reigns on WWE SmackDown as they laid out Solo Sikoa.
Next weekend at Money In The Bank, The O2 in London will witness The Bloodline Civil War as Jimmy and Jey Uso fight their younger brother Solo and the dominant Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.
The family saga has taken so many twists and turns over the last few years, and the drama continued on Friday night as the show kicked off with The Usos addressing last week’s epic scenes.
Jimmy and Jey were on fire as they recapped their story and hyped up the massive match coming on July 1 in a fiery, confident promo targeting Roman, Solo and the Wiseman, Paul Heyman.
Backstage, Solo and Heyman were seen arriving with poor Ridge Holland getting caught in the firing line with a Samoan Spike out of nowhere, which led to a fuming Sheamus challenging Solo in an attempt to avenge at his Brawling Brutes teammate.
The subsequent main event was a suitably physical scrap with the Celtic Warrior and rising star given a good amount of time to show what they’re both capable of between the ropes.
The ending came when Solo went for his late uncle Umaga’s hip attack through a ringside barricade, leading to referee Jessika Carr calling for the bell as medical personnel came out to check on Sheamus.
Solo laid them out but The Usos made the save, rocking their brother with several superkicks and an Uso Splash.
LA Knight scores huge win, Liv Morgan returns and more
In the opening match of the evening, LA Knight continued to march on towards Money In The Bank with a huge win over Rey Mysterio.
The confident superstar is the fan favourite heading into a massive weekend at The O2 in London, despite WWE still trying to push him as something of a villain.
He attacked Rey after the bell and tried to remove his mask until the latter’s LWO teammate Santos Escobar ran down to make the save.
In an good bout, Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler beat Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn to become the Unified Women’s Tag Team Champions, while Raquel Rodriguez brought out a returning Liv Morgan to confront the champs, setting their sights on the gold they never got beaten for.
Pretty Deadly starred on the Grayson Waller Effect, eventually getting interrupted by the Street Profits which led to an entertaining clash between the two teams.
Elton Prince and Kit Wilson cheated to get the win, which was the right call heading into their Unified Tag Team Title match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn in London next week.
Charlotte Flair made relatively easy work of Lacey Evans only for WWE Women’s Champion Asuka to appear out of nowhere with a quick sneak attack.
Now, it appears the Empress of Tomorrow has the upper hand as she prepares to defend her title against Charlotte at The O2.
WWE SmackDown airs Friday nights at 1am on BT Sport 1.
