Amy Dowden has reunited with former Strictly Come Dancing co-star Sara Davies after undergoing surgery for breast cancer.
The 32-year-old Strictly professional is recovering after an operation amid her battle with grade three breast cancer, and the 39-year-old entrepreneur has been helping her out after she underwent a full mastectomy.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she appeared on camera with Sara and revealed her pal was going to help her out with a new injection she needed to have.
She said: ‘I’ve gotta give myself a new injection today, and this one’s very different. I’ve got a pen at the moment but this one is like a syringe, isn’t it?
‘And I’ve not done it on my own before so guess who’s going to do it with me? You don’t mind, do you? Also, what did I show you last night?’
‘I got to see the new boob,’ Sara beamed, adding that it was a ‘nice boob’.

‘Do you know what she said? “You should get the other one done,” ‘ Amy laughed, as her friend giggled: ‘I just said, that is one good looking boob! Marvellous job! Fantastic!’
Amy added: ‘Other than the nipple, you wouldn’t really know, would you?’
The pair, who met when former Dragons’ Den star Sara competed on the 19th series of the BBC’s Latin and ballroom show in 2021, then appeared back on camera after the dancer had the injection.

‘No crying! I was expecting her to scream at us, I was expecting her to hit us, none of that,’ Sara quipped, while Amy then posted another video explaining that she ‘had no choice’ about undergoing a full mastectomy, noting she had ‘more than one tumour’.
She thought she would need to have an ‘expander’ rather than an implant, but doctors were able to ‘put the implant in’.
‘For me, it’s a better option because not more surgery etc. I woke up and they’d managed to put the implant in. So I have had reconstruction,’ she explained. ‘I believe later on you can have the nipple tattooed – not sure if I’m gonna do that yet.’

Meanwhile, she also shared a photo on Instagram of the pair beaming together, and revealed they are working on something exciting, teasing that it’s ‘just what she needs’.
She wrote alongside the selfie: ‘With my super lovely @saradaviescc 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖 working on something super fun! EXACTLY what I needed! #havemissedher #friends #dragonandawelshdragon #recoveringwiththebest (sic)’
The 32-year-old professional ballroom dancer shared the news of her diagnosis in May after she said she found a lump in her breast before heading on holiday.
She was preparing to go on her honeymoon with her new husband Ben Jones – also a professional dancer – when she noticed something was wrong and attended a check up in April.
‘If I only have radiotherapy I’ll be back on Strictly this season,’ she recently told The Mirror. ‘Once radiotherapy is done there’ll be nothing to stop me, there’s no pressure but Strictly is leaving the door open. It’s having something to work towards.’
