It’s been quite the series of Love Island so far (Picture: Rex Shutterstock)

Love Island’s summer series has been a welcome return to form, with the series ramping up the drama on a nightly basis since it launched in June.

From recouplings and bombshells galore, through to shock dumpings and the reappearance of one of the show’s most iconic contestants, it’s kept us glued to our screens on a nightly basis.

We’ve still got so much more to come, including the inevitable appearance of Casa Amor – but of course nothing lasts forever, and many are already wondering when this series’ final might be airing.

Has the date been confirmed yet? Here’s what we know so far…

When could Love Island 2023 end?

As it stands, the date for the Love Island final has yet to be confirmed.

However, when the series began on June 5 it was revealed that it would run for around eight weeks.

That would bring us up to around the end of July or early August – meaning the final could potentially air on Monday July 31 or some time in the first week of August.

Until ITV confirms the date though, nothing is certain.

The current series began with 10 new islanders heading into the villa in Majorca, with the viewers once again voting for them to be coupled up.

Since then though we had bid farewell to several of their number in some shock dumpings, with George Fensom, Ruchee Gurung, Andre Furtado, Molly Marsh and Mehdi Edno among the original contestants who have already been dumped.

We’ve also seen bombshells including Charlotte Sumner and Mal Nicol make an early exit – as well as the shock return of 2016’s Kady McDermott, who has wasted no time causing chaos in the villa.

When is Love Island on?

The series airs every night from Sunday to Friday on ITV2 at 9pm.

There is no new episode on Saturdays, but instead viewers are treated to Love Island: Unseen Bits, a compilation of unaired footage from the past week in the villa.

If you miss any episodes you can catch up with them via ITVX.

Love Island continues on ITV2 at 9pm.
