The Witcher season 3 may be Henry Cavill’s final outing as Geralt of Rivia, but there are plenty of new faces joining the Netflix blockbuster.
Among them is Mamma Mia, Fleabag and W1A star Hugh Skinner, who is playing bon vivant Prince Radovid.
While Hugh hadn’t watched the juggernaut fantasy series prior to signing on the dotted line, he previously told Metro.co.uk what drew him to the role.
‘I love an outsider. Part of the draw with The Witcher was to play a gay character in a big genre fantasy show with a big audience. It felt like a unique opportunity and one I couldn’t really say no to,’ he explained.
Let’s delve further into who exactly Prince Radovid is in The Witcher and where you might have seen Hugh before.

Prince Radovid strikes up an electric connection with everyone’s favourite bard Jaskier (Joey Batey), while becoming embroiled in the drama surrounding the lead characters.
Hugh spoke to Metro.co.uk before the launch of The Witcher and shed more light on his character.
The actor explained: ‘He’s the younger brother of King Vizimir, the King of Redania, and he’s a bit lost. He doesn’t really have any purpose.
‘He drinks a lot and he gets embroiled with Philippa and Dijkstra, the Redanian in spies. He enjoys meeting Jaskier and is quite bewitched by him,’ he stated, stressing that Radovid finds himself a little bit ‘out of his depth’.
