X Factor star Christopher Maloney has shared a picture of his bruised and bloodied face after his latest cosmetic surgery, admitting he’s ‘gone too far’.

His fans have since rushed to support him, after the painful looking images as the 45-year-old opened up about body dysmorphia.

The singer, who rose to fame in 2012, took to Instagram to reveal the outcome of his latest cosmetic procedure on his eye lids.

One eye could clearly show a stitched up cut both on the eyelid and directly below, while the other eye was covered in bloody scarring running down the side of his nose and cheek.

The Celebrity Big Brother star wrote: ‘Think I’ve gone to far! Need a hug xx.’

Christopher added hashtags on body dysmorphia, a mental health condition where a person spends a lot of time worrying about flaws (often unnoticeable to others) in their appearance, according to the NHS.

His post was showered in support, with one person writing: ‘Chris, you really do not need to do this to your beautiful self. Please stop. Sending hugs. Love you lots xx.’

Another said: ‘Chris! Please please stop doing this to yourself. You are thoroughly beautiful inside and out. You really don’t need to do this to yourself x.’

Someone else penned: ‘Mental health is hard and it is easy for others to judge, I hope your okay and you get the right support you need.’

Chris opened up about the procedure, which is his 20th, revealing he went to Poland for a belpharopasty, which sees someone’s eyelids reconstructed with excess skin removed.

He said: ‘My body dysmorphia, my anxiety and depression has taken over my life. In the past 12 months it’s gone into overdrive.

‘This is my 20th surgery in seven years and it’s a really major. I know it’s excessive but I just can’t help it. I need to stop but I can’t.

‘I started counselling but I’m really down and depressed dealing with this. I’m not doing this for vanity reasons, it’s an uncontrollable addiction.’

‘When I look in the mirror I feel sick,’ Christopher continued to MailOnline. ‘I pick at myself all the time and I’m constantly putting myself down.

‘I have really good friends around me but they can’t save me, it’s down to myself and putting my health first.

‘I’ve had so many supportive and loving messages from fans too but it’s easier said than done to make a change.’

Christopher admitted he’s had 20 tweaks over the last seven years, and spent more than £100,000 on cosmetic surgeries including seven nose jobs, eight hair transplants and three eye operations.

During an appearance on Loose Women in 2018, Christopher admitted that he couldn’t look at himself in the mirror.

‘I can’t even watch my old performances form The X Factor, not even CBB when I was on there,’ he admitted when asked what he found so hard to look at when it comes to his old looks.

Shedding light on what prompted him to get the latest round of work done, which then included  a hair transplant, upper eyelid surgery, botox, another nose job, and having work on his teeth done, he told the Loose Women: ‘I’d been writing my autobiography for the past three months, and looking back on those pictures has given me some low self-esteem, and then the trolls started again.’

Despite his love of plastic surgery, Christopher urged caution to anyone thinking of going under the knife, adding: ‘Anyone that gets plastic surgery you need to think about it before you jump into it.’
