Lana Del Rey took time out of her British Summer Time performance to lay into the organisers of Glastonbury festival who cut her microphone off.

The American singer and songwriter, 38, who played on Saturday night at Worthy Farm in June, was forced to leave the stage prematurely after starting late.

After not arriving on the Other Stage until 11pm, half an hour after her scheduled start time, the sound to her microphone was cut due to Glasto’s midnight curfew.

With the show over, Lana then descended from the stage and began performing her songs a cappella with those in the crowd who had stayed behind.

And it appears the wounds from being cut off are still fresh, with Lana taking time out of her BST set to roast Glasto for ending her set.

‘I think this is where I got cut off last time,’ she told the thousands who gathered at Hyde Park on Sunday night to watch the Summertime Sadness singer.

‘It’s worth it. Even if you get the power cut it’s worth it,’ she added as she performed hits from her 18-year career, including Video Games and Born to Die.

Before she began singing, the Say Yes to Heaven hitmaker arrived on stage smoking a vape while introducing herself to the estimated 65,000-strong crowd.

As if that wasn’t enough, she then had someone ensure that her hair looked just right, poking fun at her reasoning for being late to her Glasto performance.

‘‘If they cut power, they cut power. I’m super f*****g sorry. My hair takes so long to do,’ she said as she began her headline slot on the Other Stage.

Midway through her set, which lasted a full 90 minutes, Lana stopped performing to sign autographs and take selfies with fans in the front row at Hyde Park.

Lana, who has achieved six top 10 singles in the UK as well as six number one albums, was supported at Hyde Park by singer-songwriter Father John Misty.

Earlier this year, the Norman Rockwell singer managed to lose her vape on stage during a show in Brazil before asking fans to help her find it.
