On the 10th anniversary of Cory Monteith’s death, his co-star and partner Lea Michele posted a touching message to the late actor on her Instagram.

Monteith rose to fame on Glee as leading man Finn but sadly died on July 13, 2013, from an overdose aged 31.

At the time he was dating on-screen love interest Michele and the pair had been an item for over a year.

Michele wrote: ‘Hey you. 10 years. It feels like only yesterday that you were here and yet a million years ago all at the same time.

‘I hold all of our memories in my heart where they will stay safe and never forgotten. We miss you every day and will never forget the light you to brought to us all.

‘I miss you big guy. I hope you found Taylor up there and are playing the drums together.’

Glee was still filming at the time and dedicated an episode in season five to Monteith, called The Quarterback, which was viewed by over seven million people on initial airing.

In the episode, each character dedicated a song to Monteith with Michele coming in close to the end to sing Adele’s Make You Feel My Love.

The Quarterback included songs such as Seasons of Love, If I Die Young, and I’ll Stand By You.
