The BBC News channel was interrupted but not by breaking news, instead it was three people causing havoc on a TV screen in the background set.

Serious news segments being crashed is a genre of TV we all love to get behind – who can forget Professor Robert Kelly’s kids, who swaggered into shot swiftly followed by his wife trying to shut the whole thing down.

This time it was adults who got into the shot – it’s unclear at this point if they work for BBC, or even if they were aware they were being broadcast live on TV.

The reporter, who was seemingly unaware, was informing viewers on Tuesday 18 July about Jaguar Land Rover’s plan to build a battery factory in Somerset.

‘The liberal democrats said it was a welcome move after years of neglect of the south-west of the country,’ the reporter stated.

It was at this point the TV screen positioned just behind the reporter showed a man excitedly running onto a news set, lanyard swinging.

He paused briefly, and gave a big smile, before running back in the direction he came.

He may have been posing for a photo, and if that was the case he wasn’t happy with the first shot as he quickly returned for take two. This time he leant on the desk and once again gave a big grin.

As the reporter shared more information on the new factory, the live feed from the US continued to provide entertainment.

The next unexpected stars were two men who gave a quick wave and scrambled away, and a woman who performed a double hand wave. Not many people go double these days, so we appreciate the video bomber’s bold move.

The clip was shared by TV Critic Scott Bryan who simply wrote ‘oh my god’.

People were similarly amused in the comments.

‘Love this. Hope none of them get into trouble. World needs more of this,’ shared one person.

Another added: ‘Haha, amazing! Got to have fun where you can get it.’

Other people were less impressed by the scenario.

‘It is a bit cringe and embarrassing, sorry to be a party pooper but need for bit more slick production. I don’t get the shoe cupboard crammed into a wall of screens and crammed to a monitor you can barely focus on the screen. In terms of going to a screen it needs to be using,’ they shared.
