Bill Bailey has admitted that even a few years down the line, he still struggles to shake the attention that has come from his time on Strictly Come Dancing.
Back in 2020 the comedian won the 18th season of the dancing series with professional partner Oti Mabuse.
At 55, he also became the oldest winner in the show’s history.
Now the 58-year-old has said that three years on, the effects of the show still linger.
‘I walk down the street and some people clock me and they just go dun dun dun,’ he shared while appearing on Lorraine on Friday.
He also explained that apart from fans still approaching him to chat about his time on the beloved BBC show daily, he is somewhat shocked how many of the dances he could still perform if need be.

‘When you learn those routines, they are right in there and they don’t leave you,’ he laughed.
Last year Bill revealed that it took a bit of convincing to sign up for the show and that he was asked ‘four or five times’ before finally giving in.
‘What I objected to was the relentlessness of it,’ he admitted.

‘I just thought, I’ll never be able to commit to this amount of time. It’s ridiculous,’ he added when appearing on Jay Rayner’s podcast Out To Lunch.
‘And then, of course, you know, a once-in-a-century pandemic comes on.’
Bill said his expectations for the show had been ‘very low’ before taking part.

‘I mean, my dance skills are very much basically flailing enthusiastically,’ he continued.
‘I’ve never done any choreography. I’ve never taken dance classes. I didn’t even know what the hell I’m doing. So I might end up being the kind of novelty contestant.’
However as it turned out he was a firm favourite, eventually taking out the title and beating other famous faces including Maisie Smith, Jamie Laing and Ranvir Singh.
Lorraine airs weekdays from 9am on ITV1.
