Captain Jason Chambers has become a firm favorite with Below Deck viewers since he made his debut on the Bravo series last year and it turns out he caused a stir on the boat as well.

The yachtie, 50, has given Captain Lee Rosbach some serious competition for his title of ‘stud of the sea’ since stepping foot in the wheel house in the first series of the Below Deck Down Under spin-off.

Chef Tzarina Mace-Ralph, who joined the cast for season two, has revealed that her boss ended up being a huge distraction on board – admitting that she found herself unable to look him in the eye at some points.

Side note: That might make those tip meetings slightly awkward.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, the foodie couldn’t help but heap praise on her boss, joking: ‘Jesus, that man… God spent an extra three days on that one.

‘He’s so distracting. He doesn’t even need to speak, he just walks in the room and you’re like, “Well, that’s me stopping everything I’m doing”.

‘I couldn’t look him in the eye half the time. He’s just an incredible man to be around. He definitely has this king aura about him as soon as he steps into the room.’

Having heard the crowd scream as he walked on stage at BravoCon last year, we totally agree.

Captain Jason’s working relationship with Tzarina got off to rocky waters when he criticized her food during a confessional, suggesting the meal she served to charter guests was a ‘messy mishmash’.

‘The food is not up to superyacht standards in any way. It tastes all right, but there’s no presentation about it,’ he said in a confessional, before offering his feedback in person.

Without skipping a beat, the chef took accountability for the issues and vowed to improve in future.

Discussing his comments after filming had ended, she insisted that she was happy that the issues were highlighted and that she was given feedback.

‘The way that you work is with feedback, you need to know it so you don’t make that mistake again,’ she continued.

‘I think it’s good for the public to see the actual reality of it because we are a reality TV show, and out of all of them, we are the most realistic.

‘People do make mistakes, every single department does. I was so nervous about it but then that’s me, I make mistakes I do and I own up to them.

‘It’s the reality of the reality show.’

Below Deck Down Under continues on Mondays, at 8pm ET on Bravo, and is available to stream on hayu the same day.
