Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son Joseph Baena takes after his famous father in more ways than one, as seen in new snaps where the 25-year-old flexes his muscles.

Action hero turned US politician Arnold was a professional bodybuilder, winning the Mr Universe title at just 20 years of age, and was known for his muscles as much as his acting as he made a major name for himself in Hollywood.

While now retired, Arnold takes great care to keep his fitness levels up in the gym, often sharing his jaw-dropping routines with fans on social media.

It’s clear Arnold’s love for bodybuilding has rubbed off on his son Joseph, who has been working on his biceps for years – and is now showing off the results.

In new photos shared to Instagram, Joseph can be seen working out in a sunkissed outdoor gym, wearing nothing but sunglasses, shoes and shorts as he flexes to show off his absolutely enormous biceps and rippling muscles.

One snap sees him face the camera as he poses while grinning at the camera, and in the other he turns to show off the muscles in his back.

The young bodybuilder is already the spitting image of his actor father, but these photos in particular show off the incredible resemblance between the two.

It’s not the first time the pair have shown off their shared love of working out, having previously worked out in the gym to celebrate Arnie’s 72nd birthday.

Before making a name for himself in Hollywood and politics, Arnold – now 76 – now was a big deal on the bodybuilding circuit in the 60s and 70s, winning the prestigious Mr Olympia title seven times.

He revealed to Men’s Health that he still sometimes hits his classic bodybuilding poses in his 70s, ‘but only in the bathroom, because sometimes it makes me cry.’

Nowadays, the star’s motivation to train is different than it was in his younger years, as now he works out to ‘stay alive’ and ‘to be able to do my movies’, he explained.

As well as bodybuilder Joe, Arnold is also dad to Katherine, 33, Christina, 31, Patrick, 29, and Christopher, 25, with ex-wife Maria Shriver.

He shares Joseph with the family’s longtime housekeeper Mildred Baena.
