WWE superstar Sonya Deville is reportedly out of action ‘indefinitely’ after suffering a heartbreaking injury at the worst time.

The Women’s Tag Team Champion, who holds the gold with her tag partner Chelsea Green, could be forced to relinquish the only title she has held in her eight year WWE career.

Deville and Green captured the titles on the July 17 episode of Monday Night Raw when they triumphed over previous champs Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

However, less than two weeks later it appears the 29-year-old star was hurt as she and her partner defended their championships on SmackDown against Bianca Belair and Charlotte Flair on July 28.

As reported by TMZ, Deville suffered a torn ACL during the bout, and she has been ruled out of action.

It’s said she will undergo a procedure to repair the damage on Tuesday, but her recovery time is yet to be revealed.

Meanwhile, WWE is expected to confirm the status of the Women’s Tag Team Titles on tonight’s episode of Raw, and things could go in a number of directions based on recent similar situations.

Raquel and Liv had been stripped of the gold when the latter suffered an injury, but when Lita was taken out of action, Trish stepped in as her proxy alongside Becky Lynch, which in turn led to their rivalry this summer.
