I buy ugly things in charity shops & turn them into cute outfits – trolls say they look like a hot mess but I don’t care

A THRIFTY fashionista has been brutally trolled after sharing some of the upcycling projects she’s put together with ”ugly” second-hand clothes.

Savvy style fan Kennedy June, 23, took to Instagram to proudly post some of her latest DIY projects using bits she’d nabbed from a charity store.

According to the fashion enthusiast, she sees potential even in the ugliest clothing at the storesInstagram/kennedyjunejewelry

When shopping for second-hand garments, Kennedy revealed that she sees ”potential in the ugliest things at Goodwill” and uses this as an opportunity to give the items a new life – and a fresh look.

One such project involved a long tunic-style top with a leopard print, as well as a pink lace number.

Whilst Kennedy may have not necessarily liked the two as individual pieces, she was convinced she’d be able to make them work as a separate garment.

After some cutting and sewing, the DIY enthusiast had put together a whole new top, leaving the animal print on top and the pink lace material on the bottom half.

Whilst checking out the goodies at the store, she had also picked up another T-shirt, this time covered in sparkly sequins.

Once Kennedy had finished upcycling it, the top became a trendy piece with a daring cutout detailing around the bust area and backless cut.

The third project came from a maxi dress with a funky, abstract print in various colours and elbow-length sleeves.

Rather than keeping it as a dress, the 23-year-old style lover turned it into a halterneck playsuit, with a string on the back.

All chuffed with the new wardrobe additions, Kennedy also shared the fourth, and final, item – a peplum top she had made flipped from a short skirt.

The thrifty fashion fan wrote in the caption of her video: ”Pick your fave flip: 1,2,3 or 4??

”My birthday is this weekend so I need to know which one to wear…I’m leaning towards 2 or 3 as of now but I’ll let you decide.”

Thousands raced to the comments – where, sadly, not all looks had stolen hearts on social media.

One person said: ”Uhhh the 1st one is a hot mess I’m sorry.”

Another agreed, adding: ”1 no but rest good.”

”That skirt was actually really cute as it was,” someone else reckoned.

”That first one was not it sis but the rest hell yes,” a fellow style lover thought.

Luckily, not everyone was slamming the first project, as one fan said: ”I loved the first one it’s giving tacky 2000s vibes in a good way.”
