Jamie Oliver thrilled fans as he announced he would be opening up a new restaurant in London’s Covent Garden later this year.

The 48-year-old broadcaster and chef revealed his upcoming project on his social media and foodies couldn’t contain their excitement at the prospect of a Jamie revival in November.

Sharing a bright orange square to his personal account, the cook showed off his new restaurant – Catherine Street – logo with pride and penned a caption explaining what was occurring.

Alongside the neon-coloured square that featured that star’s initials in cream swirling font, the famous face said: ‘I am SO happy to announce my return to the UK restaurant industry that I love so dearly with my new place @jamieolivercatherinest!!

‘We’re creating a menu that reflects my love of Britain’s rich & diverse food culture and champions independent producers and suppliers.

‘My hope is that Catherine Street will be a wonderfully welcoming, happy place to dine, with great service, and delicious food at its heart.
