A bridezilla dress-coded my ‘inappropriate’ dress for her wedding – it’s revealing, but who wants to look like a gran?

A BRIDE has asked if she’s a “bridezilla” for telling a wedding guest that her dress is too inappropriate to wear for the special day.

The bride shared a photo of the body-hugging, beige dress which she claimed was “see-through” and showed her “nipple piercings.”

She wrote on Reddit: “Am I bridezilla for telling my friend her dress is inappropriate?”

In the comments, she explained how she was having an “ intimate beach wedding”.

The only people to make the cut were family and this one friend who she’s known for 18 years.

The bride continued: “That said, I am wearing a formal wedding gown, and all of our family will be dressed up as well.

“She asked what to wear, but insists that everything I’ve showed her is too ‘grandma’ and too expensive, and that she can find something on SHEIN or wear this dress she got from Ross.

“I don’t mean to be a b***h and I normally would have no problem with the Ross dress, but I know that it will look out of place at the wedding and some of my family will talk about it since it’s see-through and her nipple piercings are showing.

“She gets very defensive when I suggest dressing a bit more formally and said if anyone has a problem with whatever she wears they are a**hole.

“I just want to avoid her feeling uncomfortable.”

Many people were quick to say they agreed that the dress was inappropriate and also questioned the bride’s friendship with the woman.

One said: “Personally I don’t think you’re a bridezilla. That dress really doesn’t seem like wedding attire to me, even if it was a more casual wedding.”

Another added: “This person doesn’t seem to spark any joy for you.”

The bride responded: “We’ve been friends for a really long time, and she is a genuinely caring person which is why I hesitate to just end the friendship or even jeopardise it over a wedding, but she has always had a really hard time respecting boundaries and tends to make things about her any time she isn’t the centre of attention.

“Like we have a great time day to day and when we are alone, but on several occasions she has turned family events of mine bad which is why I am afraid of her going.”

She said she had initially just wanted family “like Christmas day”, but then said her friend had then told her she was “welcome to come on Christmas morning to her house because she considers me family.”

The bride added: “There’s just no winning.

“She just says she can’t miss it and I would be her MOH if she was getting married, which is nice but still I just don’t quite understand lol.”

One Reddit user responded: “A genuinely caring person would not manipulate you to include them in an event they were not invited to, nor would they cause you this much stress/drama while you are trying to plan your wedding.

“A genuinely caring person would understand that YOU are the bride, that the wedding is about YOU.

“She is causing drama over her not being able to show off her body to be the centre of attention in what is supposed to be YOUR day.”
