Hot off the release of her latest track, Olivia Rodrigo has been enjoying the UK’s favourite sport and declared herself a Chelsea FC fan.

The US pop star headed to Stamford Bridge during the football club’s first Premier League game of the season against Liverpool on Sunday, August 13.

She shared that she had never been to a football game before but was now a fan having met the team and even got to go onto the pitch.

Dressed in a floaty green dress, Olivia was smiling from ear to ear as she ran on the grass before spinning and posing, although not while the match took place.

The 20-year-old also took post-match snaps with Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell, 26, who posted pictures of the pair chatting on his Instagram.

He then presented her with a blue number eight football shirt embossed with her last name.

‘Hey, my name’s Olivia Rodrigo and today I am at the Bridge for my very first football game,’ she said in a video for Chelsea’s Instagram story.

Olivia, who is nominated for multiple VMAs, added: ‘I had the best time and I’m so happy that I got to come.’

The club shared a picture of the smiling pair on Twitter, and wrote: ‘New Chelsea fan unlocked: @OliviaRodrigo’.

‘@oliviarodrigo is a Blue! #CheLiv,’ it added on Instagram, while Ben said: ‘Great news hearing you’re now a blue.’

The snaps came after the club drew 1-1 with Liverpool in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s first game in charge since being appointed in June.

During the game, the defender had a goal disallowed after VAR ruled he had been offside, but the side avoided defeat following a goal from Axel Disasi on his debut appearance for the club.
