I wear designer while dressing my kids in supermarket gear – they’re messy & growing… you can judge me all you want

A MUM has hit back at trolls explaining why she buys herself posh clothes whilst her two children are dressed in cheap supermarket outfits.

Mum-of-two Caitlin Fladager, 29, from Vancouver, Canada, has become somewhat of an internet sensation on Instagram after openly admitting she smokes weed – but recently she’s gone viral for another reason.

According to the 29-year-old, her wardrobe consists of posh gear – but while she doesn’t mind forking out for expensive clothes for herself, it’s not the same for her kids.

Unlike their mum, the two children will mainly wear rail clothing purchased from budget-friendly supermarkets, such as Walmart.

This, however, has been frowned upon, as Caitlin claimed that people judge her for it and say it’s ”not a good look for you as a mum”.

Hitting back at the meanies, the blonde said on her social media page: ”That statement is something I get a lot.

”Yes, my kids clothes mostly come from Walmart, while I buy myself clothes from other (more expensive) stores.”

Posing with a new designer bag in her hands, the fashionista also explained her reasoning behind the shopping habits.

She noted that not only are her kids ”constantly outgrowing” their garments, they also tend to get messy, spilling food and dirt all over their clothes.

”I am not outside running around in the dirt for hours on end.

”I am not tripping and ripping holes in brand new clothes.

”I am not changing my mind daily about what colour I have randomly decided I don’t want to wear ever again,” Caitlin wrote in her post.

Rather than ”yelling” at her kids for having spilled some ice cream on their brand new outfit, the 29-year-old strives to be the mum ”who sees them spill and says ‘oh no big deal’ ”.

She went on: ”I strive to be the mom who says “oh no worries at all! It’s a cheap shirt” when they’re teacher tells me they spilt all over an outfit while are school.

”I strive to be the mom who sees them playing in the dirt, not caring that they are ruining a brand new outfit.”

It’s not just the family’s wallet that benefits from this – the mum insisted that her kids don’t mind this at all; in fact, they ”love it”.

”They love being able to spill, get dirty, and outgrow clothes in a day with me not caring.

”I will not feel bad for buying clothes for them from Walmart, nor will I feel bad for buying myself special pieces that I have worked, and saved up for.”
